Ch : You were referring about the past karma. When we were Reiki III, you talked about healing the past lives.

NN : Yes.

RN : Even at Reiki II we tell you.

Ch : After sometime I really stopped doing that. I really felt , I did feel the need for doing it and now you are saying the past lives are not healed.

NN : Past lives are getting healed when you are doing your own healing and basically what does it mean? —That your past lives are healed.

As far as a Reiki III is concerned when he is coming to do Reiki III with us, it means that when he leaves this body all his accounts are finished. He’s not coming back.

RN : But till he leaves his body, there are some accounts.

NN : But till he leaves his body, there is some minor accounting to be done. Even we have some minor accounting left. That’s why we are here, otherwise we would be gone…

But Reiki II can also get you to the same place. It’s not necessary that only a Reiki III can get there. We have seen many other Reiki people becoming karma free.

Reiki 1 kar ke woh mukt hain. Basically for all practical purposes, sab jeevan mukt hain. Jeewanmukta - kya matlab? This means that as Reiki channels in this lifetime itself you are liberated—then the question is, what is the basic liberation? The situation is that you are free to create your positive future, which is not available otherwise. Please understand this. You are now free to create your positive future.

Ch : Aapne humko bataya tha ki—You said that Reiki II—as far as healing is concerned, it is complete… Reiki III is, you can initiate other people.

RN : That’s mastership.

NN : At Reiki II you are master of your destiny, potentially. So you have to realise that potential and complete it, that’s all.

RN : And start working with it, to get there.

NN : Reiki II is enough for everybody usually. Reiki III was originally meant only for masters and then it was divided into two parts. The first part— Reiki III A is for the people who want the potency of a master without the responsibility. But at that point also they don’t get the full potency. They only get half potency or less than half. So they are half masters.

Ch : this word ‘moksha’—‘liberation’ we are hearing for the first time.

NN : ‘Moksha’ aapne istemal kiya—you used the word ‘moksha’.

Ch : Moksha means that after this, there will be no rebirth.

NN : Ofcourse, that is what Reiki is all about. Aapne Joy of Reiki padhi hai, to usme likha hai na ki— karma syndrome. You have read about the ‘karma syndrome’ in the Joy of Reiki—What is karma syndrome? Reiki cures the karma syndrome, which is birth, death old age, disease—janam, mrityu, jada, vyadhi—all have to be finished with Reiki. That is moksha.

Ch : What I mean is Reiki III is essential part of it that...

NN : No, Reiki is not. We have never said. What we are saying is, by fact of attunement alone Reiki III is mukta—liberated from material nature. At the end of this lifetime he is not coming back; that is all. Reiki IIIs’— by the fact that they get the attunement from us, they are liberated.

Ch : Reiki II ?

NN : Not all.

RN : They have to work towards this.

Ch : But at Reiki II level suppose I say all my past lives are healed, so then automatically I will...

NN : By your saying so, it is not so automatically and instantly.

RN : And what about this whole life?

Ch : …And also I will send ( advanced healing method ) Reiki to it.

NN : You may do all kinds of things, it is not automatic—andar se bhi to change hona hai—there must be internal change as well! What is the meaning of this?

When you do Reiki-1—What does it mean? (Pause) You have taken the first step to becoming responsible for your life.

RN : Master of your destiny.

NN : ‘Responsible’ means you are now going to do something actively yourself, to get yourself out of this place. Whatever ‘this place’ is: whether it is disease, whether it is sickness, whether it is emotional upset, anything. Reiki II means you have now completed and got the empowerment and the knowledge. Now work with it so that, at the end of this life you don’t have to come back

Reiki III means that you now convey this Reiki connection to others. Reiki III A means that you don’t wish to convey the connection but you want the higher power available as to a Reiki Master to develop yourself spiritually. Now when somebody gets attuned to Reiki I with us, if he has already progressed spiritually to a very good point by so many practices they may have been doing, he can be liberated, in other words mukta. He doesn’t have to do Reiki II. Depends what you have been doing in your previous lives…

Ch : Reiki III is like a shortcut to (liberation)… without having to do Reiki for the rest of my life. If after one year...

NN : I will give you an example—

Ch : —I take Reiki III A.

NN : You can’t take it. You can only get there if it is permitted. You can’t take it. But suppose you get to the level of Reiki III, then you may not do one day’s Reiki for the rest of your life, you will still be liberated. But you may have to suffer a lot.

Please understand you are still here living in the material world; while you are still here, the reactions are still coming. If you say, main to liberate ho gaya hoon, maine Reiki karni nahin—‘I am liberated, I am not going to do any further Reiki healing’—Ok. that is your choice. Then suffer because there are two ways to get rid of your karmas. One is by suffering and one is by neutralising it with Reiki.

RN : Healing it.

NN : So either you heal it or you suffer it. We had the example of a Reiki III who was unable to heal himself completely and he suffered. But his suffering was very short compared to what it could have been. In the last three months of his life he suffered but then he is with the light now completely. He’s not coming back.

So the point is, what is your view? Your view can be relative, your view can be partial, your view can be absolute. So, the absolute view is that whoever comes to Reiki once is liberated; why, even if he is Reiki I. Why is that? Because you are going in that line, that direction. In your next life, or it may take 200 lives, but you will get there. Once you have a Reiki connection, you are never going to loose it, even in your next life. You will start from where you left off. That’s the point.

So, you are thinking only in this life; and we are thinking in terms of total span. This changing of life or changing of body is just like you had a bath, changed clothes, you wore a different suit; that’s all it means. It’s another day. Your one life is like a day. One day in your life is not so important— what you wore yesterday.

When you are gone, you are gone, you are not coming back; fine. So this is the point, that in the beginning when you touch Reiki I. You are taking the step, means we can say you are jeevan mukat or liberated. May not be right now but potential is there. You are pointed in the right direction. You are going in that direction. We can also say a Reiki master is jeevan mukta. He is liberated, even in this lifetime. What does that mean?

Ch : He is staying here out of choice.

NN : He is not staying here out of choice! See there is one philosophy— ‘He is doing a very great work—that he is sacrificing something in order to benefit mankind.’… He is doing nothing of the kind I can assure you. What he is doing is paying off his karmic debts. So bigger the Reiki master, bigger the debt. Understand that. So all the Grand Masters are big-shot debtors!
